JOB DESCRIPTION


SUMMARY


Full-Time (40 hours a week) 


Eastside Community Church of Dallas is seeking a full-time Operations Manager to support Eastside Community Church.


GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS 


  1. A consistent, contagious, and fruitful relationship with Jesus Christ, exhibited by the fruit of the Spirit, which is “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control” (Gal 5:22-23). Character qualities reflected in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. 
  2. A track record of serving in ministry, loyalty to pastoral leadership, and a desire to equip the saints in ministry. 
  3. Free from addictions and life-dominating sins; willing to limit one’s liberty for the sake of others, living above reproach.
  4. Demonstrated competence in doing the work of ministry. The candidate should be able to demonstrate gifting and ability as necessary for ministry leadership. 
  5. A commitment to the Church’s mission, values, statement of faith, and philosophy of ministry. 
  6. If married, a spouse who enthusiastically supports the candidate’s participation and leadership in the church.  
  7. Enthusiastic references who confirm the candidate’s potential for ministry. 
  8. Maintain compliance with Eastside’s employee policies and procedures. 


SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS


  1. Experience in operations, administration, and/or project management (nonprofit or church experience preferred).
  2. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  3. High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive information.
  4. Skills and gifts in administration and organization.
  5. Proficient in administrative systems and platforms (e.g. Google Drive, etc.).
  6. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, etc.).


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


Operational Leadership

  • Develop, implement, and refine administrative systems and processes that support staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders for the church and the school.
  • Oversee calendar management for ministries, events, and facilities, ensuring optimal coordination and usage.
  • Oversee budgeting and expense tracking of operations and facilities budgets.
  • Assist the accounting department with special projects and financial processes.
  • Ensure resources (people, space, materials) are used wisely and in alignment with church priorities.
  • Oversee and manage the Communications, Facilities, Office Administration, and Events Teams to ensure effective workflows and timely project completion.
  • Facilitate effective communication, cross-team collaboration, and follow-through on ministry initiatives.
  • Help cultivate a culture of excellence, service, and relational connectivity.

Facility Management

  • Oversee the scheduling and maintenance of church facilities.
  • Support all logistical aspects of weekend services, church-wide events, and special projects.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Own and oversee the annual property and liability insurance renewal process and any claims as needed.
  • Oversee safety and security protocols for the church and school operations and coordinate emergency procedures, drills, and training.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
