Position Overview

BLOC Resources is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Assistant Storekeeper 3 to lead and optimize materials management operations within a fast-paced, high-demand environment. This senior-level role is designed for a professional with 10+ years of experience who brings both hands-on operational expertise and the ability to influence long-term supply chain strategy.

This individual will play a critical role in ensuring materials availability, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency while leading teams, improving processes, and supporting large-scale infrastructure or utility-related projects.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities 

Leadership & Team Management 

  • Lead, supervise, and develop materials support personnel, ensuring high performance and accountability  

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and day-to-day direction to warehouse and inventory staff  

  • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and operational excellence  

Materials Management & Inventory Control 

  • Oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, and distribution of materials  

  • Ensure accurate tracking and documentation within inventory systems  

  • Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and coordinate replenishment  

  • Conduct cycle counts and audits to maintain inventory accuracy  

Strategic Planning & Process Optimization 

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste  

  • Analyze inventory trends and operational data to support decision-making  

  • Collaborate with leadership on long-term materials and supply chain strategies  

Procurement & Vendor Coordination 

  • Partner with procurement teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials  

  • Support vendor performance tracking and service level expectations  

Compliance, Safety & Quality Assurance 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and safety procedures  

  • Maintain audit readiness and enforce proper materials handling practices  

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with engineering, construction, and logistics teams  

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for materials management processes  

 

Required Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of experience in materials management, warehouse operations, or supply chain  

  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and operations  

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds  

  • Strong understanding of inventory systems and logistics processes  

 

Preferred Certifications 

  • Certified Forklift Operator  

  • Supply chain or logistics certifications (APICS, CPSM, etc.)  

  • Leadership or management certifications  

 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills  

  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities  

  • Proficiency in inventory systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Summary

Pay Rate: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour 
Contract Duration: 12 Months (with potential for extension based on performance and business needs) 
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, standard business hours (with flexibility for extended hours or overtime based on operational needs)
