As a Room Attendant at the Trumbull Marriott Shelton, you play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and memorable stay. You are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of guest rooms, contributing directly to our reputation for excellence in hospitality. Your meticulous work helps create a welcoming environment for every guest.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleans and prepares guest rooms according to hotel standards.
• Makes beds, changes linens, and replenishes amenities.
• Vacuums, dusts, and mops floors in guest rooms and bathrooms.
• Empties trash receptacles and removes all debris from rooms.
• Ensures all appliances are in working order and reports any maintenance issues.
• Manages laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
• Stocks and organizes housekeeping carts with necessary supplies.
• Maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and reports shortages to supervisor.
• Provides exceptional customer service and responds to guest requests promptly.
• Addresses guest inquiries and resolves complaints in a professional manner.
• Adheres to all safety and sanitation guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

• Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning is an asset.

Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Excellent customer service and guest relations abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a hotel or hospitality setting.

Physical Requirements/Work Conditions:

• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
