    We are seeking a caring, energetic educator to lead our Summer Parent Tot Camp. This camp is designed as a gentle introduction to the classroom environment for young children who could be joining our Soon 2B3 preschool program in the fall. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with toddlers and supporting their first structured learning experiences.

    Children attend camp with a parent or caregiver and participate in a modified preschool day that mirrors our Soon 2B3 year-old program. Camp activities focus on creative expression, circle time, and motor skill development, helping children become comfortable with routines and expectations in a classroom setting. Pull-Ups are permitted for campers who are actively working on potty-training skills.

    $15/hour, approx 8-10 hours/week depending on need, July 6 - July 30 (Monday and Wednesdays, 9:15-11:15a)

    QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
    1. Must be 21 years of age or older.
    2. One year of experience in working with toddlers or preschool-aged children preferred (2-3 years old).
    3. Lead and support daily camp activities, including circle time, art projects, and motor play.
    4. Help create a warm, welcoming environment that supports children’s first classroom experiences.
    5. Strong listening and communication skills.
    6. Collaborate with parents/caregivers who attend camp with their child.
    7. Ensure the safety, well-being, and developmental needs of all campers.
    8. Encourage social, emotional, and motor skill development through play-based learning.
    9. Demonstrates ability to make good judgments and be aware of immediate surroundings.
    10. Positive, patient, and nurturing approach with young children.
    11. Must be able to respond to and handle children’s behaviors in a positive appropriate manner.
    12. CPR/First Aid certification required.
    13. Must be energetic, model enthusiam and flexibility in a camp environment that encourages social growth, safety and fun.
     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS

    Per American with Disabilities Act, general physical requirements include the following:

    Occasionally lifts and carries up to 30 lbs.
    1. Ability to participate in daily activities that may require strenuous physical activity.
    2. May need to respond to situations quickly and accurately.
    3. Requires frequent sitting, standing, bending, kneeling and reaching.
    4. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to participate in camp lead physical activities, projects, and outings.
    5. Requires normal range of hearing and vision (corrected or uncorrected).
    6. Will be exposed to temperatures that may exceed 95 degrees of heat.
    7. Will be exposed to ultraviolet sunrays.
