The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor to serve as Senior Associate Dean beginning August 1, 2026.
Position purpose: The Sr. Associate Dean for Research and Community Partnerships for CPHS is responsible for coordinating the Research efforts for the CPHS, expanding our grantsmanship and scholarly productivity. In addition, the individual in this position will engage with community partners that align with our strategic plan to advance our goals and support external revenue generation.
Job functions:
- Teach one class in the are of expertise that aligns with needs of the College
- Collaborate with the Dean and CARES leadership to create and implement the research agenda and strategic plan for research for the college.
- Identify and engage with Community partners that align with our mission/vision/and values. Create and foster strategic community alliances that will help advance the mission/goals of the College.
- Evaluate the research capacity of the College and identify needs. Plan programing to address the identified needs building our faculty expertise in research to enhance our research capacity. Track the scholarly and grant productivity for the College
- Collaborate with all appropriate units across campus to streamline scholarly activities and develop strong intra campus research infrastructure. (includes OSP, F&A, IRB, BDAIC, other colleges etc)
- Assist in developing and implementing the CPHS Continuing education
- Administrative responsibilities that support the College's strategic agenda that evolve over time. This includes supporting individuals schools within the College.
