Position Overview
The Donor Advancement Officer plays a vital role in deepening relationships with individual donors, cultivating new supporters, and stewarding our donor giving societies. This position is ideal for someone who is relationally gifted, detail-oriented, and passionate about advancing the cause of life through strategic donor engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Cultivation & Stewardship
· Build authentic relationships with current and prospective individual donors
· Develop personalized outreach strategies to engage new supporters
· Follow up with donors from annual events such as the banquet and golf outing
· Work with Executive Director to locate & ask for higher giving amounts to advance major donors’ pool
· Develop strategies to increase the number of monthly donors and to encourage existing monthly donors to increase their monthly amount
Giving Societies Management
· Lead and grow our donor giving societies:
o Champions for Life (multi-year, multi-level giving society)
o Care Net Northern Kentucky Legends for Life (planned giving)
· Coordinate communications, recognition, and engagement activities for society members
Donor Engagement & Reporting
· Maintain accurate donor records and track engagement through Bloomerang CRM system
· Collaborate with the Executive Director, Director of Development and fundraising team to align donor strategies with ministry goals
· Provide regular updates on donor advancement metrics and progress
Departmental Support
- All other duties as assigned by the Development Director to support the work of the department and mission of Care Net.
Requirements
Qualifications
- A heart for life-affirming ministry and alignment with Care Net’s Christian mission
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in donor relations, fundraising, or nonprofit development preferred
- Ability to manage multiple relationships and projects with discretion and care
- Familiarity with donor management systems and event follow-up processes a plus
- Desire to learn and use our Bloomerang CRM system and computer-based systems
- A team mentality
Compensation and Schedule
- Part-time: 20 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling with occasional evening/weekend availability for donor events
- Compensation commensurate with experience
