Position Summary:
The Teaching and Learning Secretary provides upper level confidential and administrative support for the Director of Teaching & Learning and the Teaching and Learning team including a wide variety of office duties such as monitoring and coordinating work flow; managing office operations; working with district information databases and providing accurate reports; and serving as a liaison between the Director of Teaching & Learning and other district staff, outside agencies and members of the community.
Position Requirements:
High school diploma required; demonstrated expertise with software programs; highly developed interpersonal and organizational skills. An associate degree, a two-year technical certificate, or experience in business administration or office management is preferred.
Other Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work well with faculty, staff, parents, and stakeholders. Understand and comply with all protocols related to data privacy. Ability to perform duties with a thorough knowledge of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. Extensive knowledge and experience of computer software applications; ability to work independently; ability to compose correspondence and reports from brief instructions; ability to analyze data; ability to work with budgets, coding, and expense research. Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines; demonstrated ability and experience in collecting and assembling data, preparing reports, monitoring progress; ability to multitask and work well under pressure; high level interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation; ability to meet the public effectively; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, School Board, parents, elected officials, students, staff, superintendent and the general public. Consistent and reliable attendance.
Schedule:
7:30 am - 4 pm / M-F / 52 weeks
Rate of Pay:
B-3-1 // $23.94-$28.52/hour, depending on experience
