-Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards
-Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification
-Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
-Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
-Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology.

-The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED
-some post-secondary automotive training
-at least one year of dealer-level or large facility experience
-certification by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
-An unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
-a strong technical performance record
-strong physical dexterity and stamina to get the job done are required.
-He or she must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment
-must have a positive attitude
