Summary
Responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes within the Nuclear Power Generation manufacturing department, focusing on improving efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness by analyzing production methods, equipment, and materials, often collaborating with other departments to identify and implement improvements across nuclear product lines.
Responsibilities, authorities and accountabilities
· Process/product mastery and ownership
· Day-to day shop floor support
· Manufacturing traveler/router creation and modification
· Manufacturing equipment selection and implementation
· Disposition of non-conforming product and equipment
· Product and process failure analysis and troubleshooting
· Fixturing design and implementation
· Manufacturing procedure creation, modification, and associated operator training
· Engineering change management
· Capital Equipment project justifications, submissions and management
· Manufacturing process and quality control through collaboration with operators, data collection, and trend tracking
· Manufacturing process audits
· Purchasing manufacturing tooling and consumables
· Scrap reduction through process improvement projects
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or an associate’s degree with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing, Process Engineering or other Electrical/Electronic Engineering based positions). Candidates possessing degrees in the following areas will be considered: Electronic Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Engineering Physics, Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
