Job Description

PTMW, Inc is seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our pre-fabrication (PFAB) team. The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating hydraulic press brakes to bend, form, and shape metal sheets and plates according to specified blueprints and work instructions. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of finished products.  This is a full-time, benefits eligible position working 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, Sunday - Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays in a climate controlled facility.



Essential Functions of the Job:



• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine setup and specifications.

• Set up and operate CNC and manual hydraulic press brake machines to bend, punch, notch, and form metal sheets and plates.

• Select and install appropriate tooling and dies based on job requirements.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.

• Inspect finished parts to verify conformance to customer requirements and perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments.

• Make adjustments to machine settings to correct errors or improve product quality. 

• Clean and maintain equipment and work area.

• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

• Assist in other areas of production as needed or as assigned.
