Job Purpose
The Transportation Specialist ensures that the transportation needs of all FCC Behavioral Health clients are met in a timely, safe, and efficient manner. This role supports daily transportation operations through coordination, scheduling, communication, and documentation while maintaining compliance with agency standards and certifications.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Two (2) years of related experience, preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, with primary proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours based on operational needs.
Core Job Duties
- Process client transportation requests through the MTM-Link portal and assign trips to appropriate drivers within required timeframes.
- Process trips, claims, and other required documentation in the MTM-Link system.
- Collaborate with the Transportation Coordinator to align driver coverage for daily routes, one-off trips, and MTM transportation, utilizing shared resources when possible.
- Update and maintain driver schedules as needed to ensure adequate coverage.
- Promote teamwork, safety awareness, and proper housekeeping practices.
- Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
- Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
- Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
- Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
- Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
