The Undergraduate team provides administrative support to the Faculty of Education Undergraduate Programs across SFU campuses and external sites. We support students, faculty, and instructors by providing accurate information on courses, policies, and procedures; resolving complex registration and admission issues; and processing TSSU applications and instructional contracts. By enabling efficient program delivery and supporting student access and success, our team contributes to SFU’s academic excellence and service priorities. About the Role
This role serves as a central point of contact for undergraduate students, providing high-quality, student-centered support across advising, registration, and program administration. The position ensures the smooth delivery of undergraduate programs by interpreting academic policies, resolving complex registration and admissions issues, and coordinating closely with faculty, Student Services, and external sites. By maintaining accurate student records, supporting grading and course processes, and contributing to communications and outreach, the role directly advances the Faculty’s priorities of student success, program integrity, and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will play a key role in upcoming initiatives, designing and developing new strategic ways for scheduling, supporting program growth in the BGS programs, and strengthening data reporting for planning and decision-making. Qualifications
High school graduation and one year of post-secondary education or formal program equivalent including training in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and desktop publishing applications. 4 years of related experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced working knowledge of eTRACS, SIMS, FileMaker, and Microsoft Office 365, with the ability to use these systems efficiently to support academic and administrative processes.
- Proven experience interpreting and applying the TSSU Collective Agreement, including advising staff and senior leadership on TSSU hiring policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high‑stakes priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across departments, while exercising sound judgment and responsibility in time‑sensitive decision‑making.
- Demonstrated understanding of the operational and institutional implications of missed deadlines, with a consistent record of delivering work accurately and on time.
