Job Title: Manufacturing Solutions Architect – Industry 4.0 (Indore, M.P Work from Office)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Solutions Architect to join our team in India and lead clients through their digital transformation journey. This role focuses on bridging OT and IT, designing and implementing Industry 4.0 solutions across automotive and discrete manufacturing environments. You will work closely with clients to understand their operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver scalable, future-ready solutions leveraging Unified Namespace (UNS), IIoT platforms, MES systems, cloud technologies, and AI/ML.

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead the design and implementation of MES, IIoT, and digital transformation architectures, ensuring scalability and alignment with industry standards.

·       Partner with clients to understand their manufacturing operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and design Industry 4.0 solutions that deliver measurable value.

·       Oversee the integration of automation, IT, and enterprise systems, enabling seamless data flow from the shop floor to the cloud.

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that support core and extended manufacturing functions such as OEE, downtime, scheduling, order management, track & trace, quality management, energy management, device management, etc.

·       Design and implement data architecture solutions including data modeling, supporting governance frameworks, and master data management strategies for manufacturing environments.

·       Manage vendor relationships and technology selection processes, evaluating and recommending solutions that align with client requirements and strategic objectives.

·       Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring solutions are well-architected, secure, and future-ready.

·       Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders while staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

·       Support documentation, knowledge sharing, and best practices to enable consistent delivery and continuous improvement.

 

Qualifications & Skills

Required

·       5+ years of experience in manufacturing automation, MES, and digital transformation.

·       Strong knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts (IIoT, Unified Namespace, Smart Manufacturing, AI/ML, Digital Twin).

·       Hands-on experience with IIoT/MES platforms (Ignition/Sepasoft, WinCC OA, Siemens OpCenter, or similar) and integration with ERP and external systems.

·       Solid understanding of manufacturing operations (production planning, scheduling, quality, OEE, downtime, supply chain processes, etc.).

·       Familiarity with automation tech stack: sensors, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, MES, ERP, and cloud.

·       Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure familiarity a plus).

·       Proficiency in programming/scripting (Python, Java, JavaScript, or equivalent).

·       Experience with databases (SQL & NoSQL such as MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and historians.

·       Strong understanding of OT/IT integration, including networking fundamentals, secure architectures, and identity management.

·       Experience with modular/microservices architecture design and implementation.

·       Hands-on experience with API management platforms and integration technologies (REST, GraphQL, messaging systems).

·       Proven experience in data modeling and architecture design for manufacturing environments.

·       Familiarity with master data management (MDM) systems and strategies in manufacturing contexts.

·       Experience with real-time data streaming architectures and technologies (Kafka, MQTT, GCP Pub/Sub, etc.).

·       Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver enterprise-scale manufacturing solutions.

Preferred / Nice to Have

·       5+ years in MES/SCADA system design and implementation.

·       3+ years of hands-on experience with Ignition (platform and modules).

·       Experience with automotive manufacturing environments.

·       Experience leading multi-site MES rollouts.

·       Exposure to digital twin, simulation, or GenAI applications in manufacturing.

·       Knowledge of standards and frameworks such as ISA-95 or similar.

·       Experience with agile methodologies and modern DevOps practices.

·       Experience in change management methodologies and organizational transformation frameworks.

·       Relevant certifications (e.g., CMRP, CIMP) are a plus.
