Barre Town Middle and Elementary School is seeking an energetic, experienced, and caring school nurse for a full-time position in our busy health office at BTMES. This position is for the 2025-2026 school year.

Duties include: providing first aid and acute illness care to students and staff; assisting in triage and coordination of care for emergency situations per school policy; medication management including establishing school orders, dispensing medications, and maintaining supply; maintaining accurate student health, immunization and health screening records; communication with parents and staff regarding student health issues as appropriate; assist in conducting health screenings including hearing and vision, making referrals, and documentation of results; maintaining clean and orderly health suite; keeping inventory and ordering supplies; preparing medications and health concerns for field trips; motivating and educating students on maintaining and improving individual levels of health and wellness; respecting students' privacy and maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA and FERPA law; other responsibilities as designated by school nurse.
