Job Description
The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) is seeking a highly skilled leader to head the AI Consulting portfolio, a role that requires a unique blend of technical expertise in software engineering and AI/ML, as well as strong business acumen and communication skills. Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 5 years of professional experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree with 3 years of professional experience.
• Significant experience in applying machine learning techniques to business problems (natural language processing, deep learning, anomaly detection, reinforcement learning).
• Experience with Python, Typescript, or compiled languages like C++, Golang, etc
• Experience with developing software and software engineering best practices.
• Must be a US Citizen

-Superlative communication and interpersonal skills.
-Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
-Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), specifically containerizing and deploying AI/ML models.
-Certifications in AI/ML or related fields (e.g., TensorFlow Developer Certificate, AWS Certified Machine Learning).
-Experience leading a team of researchers and engineers.
-Familiarity with common Python libraries used for developing reinforcement learning applications: Gymnasium, rllib, Stable Baselines, RL Coach, etc.
-Experience with the design, implementation, and evaluation of models, agents, and software prototypes for real-world AI.
-Proven ability to bridge fundamental research into products. History of addressing real-world problems by integrating novel research.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $108,800 - $191,820. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
