We’d like to welcome an Account Services Supervisor responsible to lead and oversee the Account Services department’s operational functions through planning, organizing, and ensuring the department is operating in an efficient and compliant manner. The successful candidate will possess extensive leadership and teamwork attributes and operational knowledge to mentor, motivate and develop the team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Possesses leadership and teamwork attributes to mentor, motivate, and provide guidance to the department staff to pursue superior member service, work effectively and efficiently while providing an engaging and positive work environment.
- Provide technical and operational assistance to new and existing Members in regards to the various IRA types. Interact directly with Members and Credit Union staff, answering questions and offering guidance regarding IRA accounts and the regulations that surround them.
- Foster teamwork and collaboration to ensure the success of fellow Team Members while contributing to the departments and organization’s values, mission and goals.
- Handle, resolve and adjust complex Member issues without the direct supervision of Management. Respond to Member correspondence and telephone calls in a timely manner. Maintain a professional, helpful decorum at all times.
- Must maintain a complete working knowledge of the Credit Union policies and procedures that relate to Member services including such areas as password security, supervisory overrides, check hold policies, and check encashment standards, as well as other critical financial services standards.
- Must be proficient with the opening of New Membership Accounts, Trust Accounts, Certificates of Deposit and its rules and regulations. In addition, strong business acumen on deceased account and unclaimed property processing.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES
- A.A. degree with an emphasis in Business or Finance preferred or equivalent work experience. B.S. or B.A. degree preferred.
- Minimum three to seven years progressive responsible experience in the financial services industry in a leadership and supervisory role.
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, applicable laws, rules, regulations, and materials related to the operation and maintenance of deposit and loan accounts.
- Must have demonstrated strong member relationship building skills, ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, current working knowledge of credit union operations, and sound knowledge of methods and principles of financial services practices and standards including product offerings.
- Possess an understanding of physical security, controls, standards and practices for cash/negotiable items/keys in the financial services industry.
- Preferred advanced knowledge of IRS regulations relative to IRA regulations and experience in opening and maintenance of IRA accounts.
- Knowledge and experience of principles and practices in performance management, including work planning, assignment, review, training, and evaluation of staff.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must have full and complete knowledge of the features and functions of the USERS system.
- Competent working knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

PAY RANGE
In accordance with California’s Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range for this position is between:
$31.85 - $39.82
Actual pay will be determined based on a candidate’s specific qualifications, including their knowledge, skills, education and experience, internal equity consideration, as well as other job-related factors permitted by law.
