Resumen The Regulatory Compliance & Product Compliance Lead is responsible for ensuring that all products designed and manufactured meet applicable regulatory, safety, and quality standards for target markets. This role partners closely with Design Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with UL, CSA, DOE, NEC, and other applicable regulations throughout the product lifecycle. Responsabilidades Mains Responsibilities Lead compliance strategy for new product development and existing product lines. Ensure products meet regulatory standards such as UL, CSA, NEC, DOE, and other applicable codes. Act as the primary liaison with certification bodies and regulatory agencies. Guide Design Engineering teams on compliance requirements during product development. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs to ensure regulatory alignment. Manage product certifications, testing, and documentation for approvals. Support internal and external audits (ISO 9001 and regulatory audits). Identify compliance risks and implement corrective and preventive actions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and communicate impacts to stakeholders. Develop and implement compliance processes, procedures, and best practices. Provide training and guidance to cross-functional teams on compliance requirements. Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping for certifications and regulatory submissions. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to product safety and compliance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). 5+ years of experience in product compliance, regulatory, or design engineering within manufacturing. Strong knowledge of UL, CSA, NEC, DOE, and North American regulatory standards. Experience working in a maquiladora or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems. Experience with product testing, certification processes, and documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal). Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in commercial refrigeration systems or HVAC industry. Knowledge of energy efficiency regulations and testing. Experience managing compliance projects or leading teams. Certification in regulatory or quality systems (e.g., ISO auditor).
