QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Idaho Driver's License.
- Physically capable of performing assigned tasks.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and write and to understand operating instructions.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work with staff, students and the public.
- Previous experience preferred, but not mandatory.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

JOB GOALS:
To support the delivery of School District 91's written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement.
To help maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists trades in all facets of building maintenance and care.
- Assists craftsmen on jobs as needed.
- Operates equipment and machinery safely and properly as instructed.
- Maintains high standards of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
- Has regular and predictable attendance.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Completes required paperwork.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a seasonal position that is scheduled for 8 hours per day during the summer months. Monday through Friday is considered the normal workweek. Emergency conditions may arise that will require attention at any hour of the day or night. Wages will be in accordance with the Classified Salary Schedule as a Grade 3 - $14.29 or $15.02 (with a bachelors degree or 5 years relevant experience) per hour.
This is an "at will" position in that the employer or employee may terminate employment at any time or for any reason consistent with applicable state or federal law. The "employment at will" policy cannot be changed verbally or in writing, unless the change is specifically authorized in writing and expressly approved by the Board of Trustees of District 91.
- EVALUATION:
Performance of this position will be evaluated annually by the Director of Operations in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on the evaluation of classified personnel.
This position has been given an overall physical classification of heavy duty.
