About the role
We are looking for an Underground Mine Monitoring & Control Specialist to play a critical role in the 24/7 operation of the underground mine. This position serves as the single source of truth for operational data and control systems, enabling the safe, efficient, and reliable coordination of underground mining activities. The role acts as a key link between underground operations, control room systems, and emergency response.
Reporting to the Mine Operations Superintendent and working on a rotating shift roster, you will collaborate closely with operational and functional teams and be responsible for
Operating and optimizing the fleet management system to support production targets and manage underground delays
Collecting, validating, and maintaining accurate data across all underground mining activities
Coordinating the dispatch of maintenance teams to support development fleets and auxiliary equipment
Communicating clearly and effectively with teams across surface and underground operations
Supporting the continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes to enhance productivity and reliability
Coordinating and supporting incident management, providing real-time operational response as required
Monitoring communication systems, ventilation, pump stations, and other critical underground infrastructure
Supporting the performance and reliability of underground communication systems
Partnering with vendors to support software updates, hardware installations, and system troubleshooting
Managing and communicating outputs from structural monitoring systems and associated teams
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration supports safe and reliable operations
Tracking, communicating, and reporting system performance and operational status updates
Applying strong problem-solving and multitasking skills to manage real-time operational challenges
About you
A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
Minimum two years’ experience managing multiple variable or dynamic operating environments
Strong analytical capability and technical aptitude
Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and positively influence peers
Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Office and mining or operations systems
Experience with mine control or dispatch systems
Ability and willingness to work a rotating shift schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Candidates must have current, valid authorization to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
