Purpose

Help ensure our plant's operational excellence by managing and supervising maintenance routines for the control system to guarantee reliable performance aligned with the maintenance plan. Be a trusted technical partner to the Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams, providing advice and support on planning, design, and progress monitoring of all control system activities. You will report to the Automation Lead and work on-site at our manufacturing facility in Pedro Escobedo, Querétaro.

 

Main Responsibilities

· Provide specialized technical support for task execution within the control system (DeltaV), including Automation and Programming activities.

· Plan and manage the execution of maintenance routines on the control system (DeltaV). Record preventive and corrective maintenance in SAP, and prepare comprehensive reports, diagrams, and summary charts to track progress and plan adjustments.

· Manage contractors' activities on the control system, including the risk assessment and permits to work.

· Maintain functional descriptions of control sequences, interlock matrices, manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other documentation or data storage systems.

· Prepare work orders of the internal requests of the process's issues or improvements, and maintenance projects for modifications or new installations, with Engineering requirements and corporate standards.

· Configure instruments using Fieldbus, Profibus, and HART communication protocols.

· Resolve control system issues during process operation.

· Develop and implement new control sequences on the DeltaV system in response to process needs.

 

Academic Background

· Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. We will appreciate Mechatronics Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering or Electronics Engineering.

· Intermediate/Advanced level of English

 

Professional Experience

· Experience of 2 to 4 years in the automation area in a chemical or pharmaceutical factory.

· 2 years of experience in people and contractors management preferred.

 

Technical Skills

· Good knowledge in programming in automatic control systems witch Function Block Diagram.

· Good knowledge in control valves; temperature, pressure, flow, and conductivity instruments, among others.

· Good knowledge in Fieldbus, Profibus, and HART communication protocol, among others

· Good knowledge in ATEX and EX-proof Certification.

· Knowledge of project management related principles such as KPI, Six Sigma, TPM, or similar.

· Experience with project engineering.

· Good command of team member management and communications.

· Knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines.

· Yellow Belt Certification and Problem Solving L3
