Job Title: Clinical Director - Weekends
Location: Southern Orange County, California
Job Type and Schedule: Full-Time | Salary | Exempt | Friday - Monday on-site. Must be willing to work weekends and on-call for emergencies.
Compensation: $105,000 – $134,000

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Director to lead one of our core behavioral health programs in Southern Orange County. This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to guide a team of clinicians while shaping the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinical operations and treatment planning for assigned programs

  • Provide supervision and mentorship to clinical staff, including associate-licensed clinicians

  • Design and implement engaging, evidence-based clinical programming

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission)

  • Collaborate with leadership on admissions, staffing, and performance initiatives

  • Conduct staff evaluations and provide ongoing performance feedback

  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of clinical team members

  • Report clinical outcomes and challenges to the Executive Director

  • Maintain a person-centered, culturally sensitive treatment environment

  • Uphold organizational policies, client rights, and ethical care standards


Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum - Associate licensure (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) and active registration with the California BBS. Preferred - full independent licensure in California.

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a behavioral health setting

  • Prior supervisory or clinical leadership experience

  • Possess valid driver’s license with ability to be insured by our auto insurance policy which includes, but not limited to, the following requirements: 4 continuous years of driving experience, 23 years of age or older, less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years, and no more than 1 major violation in the last 3 years.

  • Ability to pass background checks (state, federal, Livescan, and ADP screening)

Preferred:

  • Fully licensed clinician (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD)

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across multiple levels of care


Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities

  • Familiarity with clinical documentation standards and payer requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Adobe tools


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods

  • Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 20 pounds

  • Frequent use of computer, phone, and standard office equipment
