Primarily responsible for plant engineering, construction, commissioning and startup operation, this role is leading skilled trades people to ensure reliability of plant equipment.
- Carry out tasks and follow procedures according to maintenance standard operating procedures and safety standard procedures.
- Prepare and study technical drawings, plans and specifications of electrical and instrumentation (E & I) systems to ensure that all electrical installations and operations conform to standard and legislative requirements.
- Plan layout of electrical power distribution lines and stations based on plan and schedule work orders issued by immediate superiors.
- Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish construction and installation standards and specifications for electrical installations.
- Maintain and improve E & I equipment, facilities, components and systems for the plant.
- Prepare technical specifications for purchase of spare parts, materials and equipment needed to optimize maintenance and production operations.
May undertake necessary repairs when breakdowns occur, to minimize unplanned outages and submit reports or root cause failure analysis why equipment fails.
The successful candidate will have a qualification of Registered Electrical Engineering. Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment or a quarry is highly desirable. A strong knowledge of autonomous maintenance and rotating equipment troubleshooting.
