About The Role
As we continue to expand across the Asia Pacific region, externally manufactured products (EPO) play a critical role in our ability to scale, innovate, and serve our customers.
This is not a traditional portfolio role. You will sit at the intersection of commercial strategy, supplier partnerships, and operational delivery – with real ownership of product-level profitability, supplier performance, and go-to-market execution.

As our Regional EPO Portfolio Manager, you will lead and support the outsourced products portfolio across ANZ and South Asia. You will partner with commercial and category teams, external manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to drive profitable growth, mitigate risk, and ensure operational excellence.
You won't just manage the portfolio – you will shape it – from make vs. buy decisions and dual sourcing strategies through to new product launches and end-of-life transitions.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier & Partner Management
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with external manufacturing partners
- Act as the primary point of contact for suppliers
- Lead regular business reviews to assess performance, risks, and opportunities
- Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and commercial terms
- Build, expand, and maintain a robust network of external product suppliers to meet evolving market demand, capacity requirements, and capability gaps
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to support growth, innovation, and risk diversification (e.g. dual sourcing)
Portfolio Management (Externally Manufactured Products)
- Own and manage the portfolio of externally sourced products across their lifecycle (introduction, growth, optimisation, rationalisation)
- Partner with Commercial and Category teams to align portfolio mix with market demand, margin targets, and growth strategy
- Monitor product-level performance (volume, profitability, service levels) and drive actions to optimise the portfolio
- Identify opportunities to expand, rationalise, or reformulate externally manufactured SKUs
- Lead decision-making on make vs. buy, supplier allocation, and dual sourcing strategies
- Support new product development and ensure successful onboarding of new SKUs with external partners
- Manage product transitions, discontinuations, and risk mitigation within the external portfolio
- Product launches – Owns and implements new product introductions from technical development right through to go-to-market strategy and sales enablement working with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to quickly learn, to enable the identification of future market trends, insights and customer needs and turning this into product strategies.
Operational Performance & Delivery
- Ensure consistent delivery of products on time, in full, and to required quality standards
- Monitor and report on key supplier performance metrics (cost, service, quality, reliability)
- Collaborate with partners to resolve operational issues and mitigate supply risks
- Drive capacity planning and alignment with demand forecasts
Cost & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives across the external manufacturing network
- Drive continuous improvement programs with suppliers (efficiency, waste reduction, innovation)
- Benchmark supplier performance and identify opportunities for optimization
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all external partners comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
- Partner with Quality teams to manage audits, non-conformances, and corrective actions
- Maintain strong governance frameworks across all third-party manufacturers
Operational Performance & Delivery
- Ensure consistent delivery of products on time, in full, and to required quality standards
- Monitor and report on key supplier performance metrics (cost, service, quality, reliability)
- Collaborate with partners to resolve operational issues and mitigate supply risks
- Drive capacity planning and alignment with demand forecasts
What You bring:
Essential Experience & Skills
- Demonstrated experience in product marketing, portfolio management, or a related discipline – ideally within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in supplier or contract manufacturing management
- Strong background in portfolio or product lifecycle management
- Commercial acumen with the ability to manage product-level profitability
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
Highly Desirable
- Experience managing third-party manufacturing in a regulated environment (FMCG, food, pharma, or similar)
Education
- University degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline (ideal but not essential with strong experience
