Plan work schedules for subordinates to establish deadlines and priorities.,Determine assignments to be performed based on personnel skills and the availability of equipment and materials.,Inspect completed work for quality to ensure adherence to work requirements.,Provide continuous on-the-job training regarding safety and proper work methods.,Manage equipment and provide consultation on the proper repairs.

However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor ~ without more than normal supervision. I have the ability to perform common tasks for the installation, operation, and repair of electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems.- Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Includes Blueprint Reading) Ability to Lead or Supervise Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Knowledge of Materials Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Physical Effort: Work requires the incumbent to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in uncomfortable positions. The incumbent frequently lifts, carries and sets up tools, equipment, parts that weigh up to 50 pounds. Occasionally may lift and carry item over 50 pounds. Working Conditions: Works inside buildings, shops, and outside. Subject to contact with dirt, dust, and grease. Also subject to cuts, bruises, and shocks and burns from high voltage.
