Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

Join Mainframe Solutions as a Project Manager leading heavy civil infrastructure projects across the Houston market. This role is focused on managing complex municipal and public works projects, including underground utilities, drainage systems, and roadway construction.

You will oversee projects from pre-construction through completion, with direct responsibility for execution, budget, schedule, and overall project performance. This position offers exposure to critical infrastructure work across Harris County and the City of Houston.

 

PROJECT SCOPE

• Underground utilities (water, sewer, storm systems)
• Drainage and wastewater infrastructure
• Roadway construction and paving
• Municipal and public works projects
• Site development and infrastructure improvements

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead heavy civil infrastructure projects from start to finish
• Manage underground utilities, drainage, and roadway construction
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
• Coordinate with City of Houston, Harris County, engineers, and subcontractors
• Supervise field operations, superintendents, and construction teams
• Conduct site visits, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations
• Manage RFIs, change orders, submittals, and project reporting
• Utilize Primavera P6, CMiC, or equivalent tools

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years experience in heavy civil or infrastructure project management
• Strong knowledge of utilities, drainage, and roadway construction
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, and subcontractors
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-accountability environments

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• City of Houston or Harris County project experience
• Experience with flood control, drainage, or wastewater infrastructure
• TxDOT project experience
• Trenchless installation methods (HDD, tunneling)

• Base Salary: $110,000 – $140,000
