As an Implementation Engineer for Blueshift, you will work with our clients on implementing the security technologies necessary to combat the cyber threats they face. Our clients represent a diverse set of verticals: government, retail, financial, manufacturing, legal, engineering, technology and other spaces.
Description
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for timely onboarding of clients to our platform
- Manage multiple in-progress client projects
- Manage procurement, build process and shipping/receiving of client premise equipment
- Build, configure and install client premise equipment
- Implementation of inline intrusion prevention devices
- Implementation of intrusion detection devices
- Partnering with clients to architect effective security monitoring and threat prevention solutions
- Continually improving operating methods, and documenting standard processes and procedures
- Monitor health of implemented systems to ensure uninterrupted client service
- Provide internal training and knowledge transfer as required
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Prior experience with Network design, engineering, and troubleshooting.
- Strong Networking skills are a must:
- Strong IP Subnetting fundamentals
- Strong static routing skills
- Strong switching and bridging skills
- Must understand NAT in real world context
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Strong Linux server administration skills (command line)
- Ability to skillfully design, interpret and edit network diagrams
- Strong with Linux, Windows and MacOS Operating Systems
- Ability to investigate security alerts and system logs and telemetry for signs of malicious activity
- Ability to define, tune and deploy signatures to detect malicious activity

Education and Experience:
- 5+ Years experience as an Implementations Engineer, Firewall Engineer, or Network Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field preferred, but not required if you have equivalent experience
- Prior Linux Server Administration skills (LPIC, Linux+ or similar certs are a plus)
- Cybersecurity Certificates such as Security+ are a plus
- CCNA, CCNP, Network+ or other similar certs are a plus
- Prior SOC Analyst Experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times
- Be able to travel to headquarters a few times a year
- Travel to client sites as needed, could be up to twice a month in peak conditions
- You will need a work from home environment conducive to sensitive analytic work (few interruptions, private and operationally secure)
