Work Location: Panama City, FL

FLSA Status: Exempt

Shift: 1st Shift  |  Monday–Thursday  |  6:00 AM – 5:00 PM

About the Role: As a Supervisor at Central Moloney, you are responsible for leading and managing a team of production employees in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is central to driving LEAN manufacturing principles and ensuring the efficient and effective scheduling of production activities. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with a strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, scheduling, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of 1-2 team leads and up to 25 production employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Train new hires and develop employees based on their individual strengths, identifying career advancement opportunities along the way.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals, and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
  • Help resolve employee issues and disputes in a fair, consistent, and timely manner.
  • Act as a role model for company values and ethical practices, encouraging a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

LEAN Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

  • Serve as a primary driver of LEAN initiatives, including implementing and sustaining 5S, Kaizen, and standardized work.
  • Identify and eliminate waste across all production processes, with a focus on improving efficiency, reducing cycle times, and enhancing product quality.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving and continuous improvement projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Apply data-driven decision-making to implement best practices and innovative solutions in the production process.

 

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all products meet or exceed customer quality expectations; lead root cause analysis and corrective actions when quality issues arise.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory and safety standards, including ISO, OSHA, and internal company policies.
  • Produce and maintain accurate records and reports; oversee adherence to all documentation requirements.

 

Resource Management

  • Optimize the use of labor, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and training to meet production demands while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing priorities.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to minimize equipment downtime and enhance production capabilities.
