What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and provide insightful feedback to clients and families

  • Deliver individual, family, and group counseling on a scheduled or crisis basis

  • Collaborate with internal staff and external partners to ensure continuity of care

  • Complete intake interviews and related clinical documentation in our electronic medical record system

  • Offer consultation and outreach as needed across community settings

  • Attend trainings, supervision, and team meetings to support your ongoing growth

  • Represent Fernbrook’s mission and values with professionalism and empathy

  • Adapt to a flexible and evolving role based on agency and client needs


What We’re Looking For:

  • A licensed Psychologist with a doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited program

  • Strong clinical decision-making and ethical integrity

  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and navigate sensitive situations

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

  • Open to feedback, professional development, and expanding your clinical knowledge

  • Proficient (or willing to become proficient) with computers and electronic documentation

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a clean driving record

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check per DHS and agency requirements


Physical Requirements:

  • Extended periods of sitting, listening, observing, and computer work

  • Emotional stamina to support clients with diverse and complex needs

  • Occasional lifting (up to 15 pounds)


Position Details:

  • Flexible hours typically between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

  • Percentage Split/Hourly positions: Up to 40 hours/week (with supervisor-approved overtime)

  • Travel may be required between Fernbrook offices and community/client locations
