THE OPPORTUNITY

Iron Bow Technologies is hiring a Lead Service Provider Network Engineer to provide subject matter expertise, leadership, and insight on advanced networking and data center networking to our Government client. Emphasis on deploying and managing advanced infrastructure solutions partner technologies and service delivery. The position will directly support Ramstein AB, Germany. 

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Provide subject matter expertise, leadership, and insight on advanced networking to Government clients.
  • Architect, design, and deliver high-performing and fast converging resilient secured backbone networks leveraging Segment-Routing.
  • Design and optimize large-scale routing environments using MP-BGP, IS-IS to deliver IPv4/IPv6 L3VPN and traffic engineering capabilities.
  • Design and Deliver Inter AS connectivity solutions to meet the customers’ requirements.
  • Perform deep dive troubleshooting the complex routing/system issues.
  • Actively research, evaluate and drive service provider and data center technologies and solutions to solve customer needs.
  • Utilize Cisco Crosswork (CNC) and automation tools to drive infrastructure efficiency.
  • Emphasize deploying and managing advanced infrastructure solutions partner technologies and service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with strategic partner community and customer base.
  • Act as a technical leader, mentor, design reviews to the team and other audiences in service provider technologies.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE THAT DRIVE SUCCESS

  • 15+ years of Service Provider, Cloud and/or Data Center Networking related consulting and delivery experience.
  • 10+ years of experience architecting, designing, and delivering MPLS and Segment-Routing networks.
  • Comprehensive understanding of service provider technologies such as MPLS, MP-BGP, QoS, Inter AS connectivity, SR-MPLS, SRv6, IS-IS, IPv4, IPv6.
  • Cisco Crosswork (CNC) experience is a bonus.
  • Hardening Cisco devices for security compliance objectives.
  • Experience with networking and cloud automation solutions such as Ansible, Terraform, Python a bonus.
  • Excellent oral presentation skills and ability to present in front of small to large audiences.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize various project deliverables, committed in meeting target deadlines.
  • Ability to mentor and lead other network engineers.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Security+ CE or equivalent IAT II certification required.
  • Secret security clearance required.
  • Certifications are highly desired: CCIE.
  • Vendor and product certifications are desired: Cisco.
