KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Machine parts to within drawing specifications utilizing manual machines
- Measure and record existing parts for reverse engineering purposes
- Manufacture parts utilizing a sample part as reference

WORK QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:- Ability to set up and safely operate small engine lathes, milling machines, large vertical lathes, boring mills and misc. other common machine shop equipment.
- Ability to accurately utilize micrometers (ID and OD), calipers etc. for precision measuring of parts.
- Ability to read a blueprint
- Familiar with overhead crane operation
- Familiar with forklift operation.
- Experience in utilizing hand and bench grinders
- Experience in using band saws
Preferred:
- Welding experience is a plus
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating machine shop equipment
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the role.
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time or until the end of the assigned shift.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. safely and properly, as needed throughout the assigned shift with or without assistance.
- Must be able to bend/stoop, squat, reach above shoulder height, crouch, balance, and push/pull.
