- Creates a classroom and laboratory environment that is safe, organized, and conducive to whole-group, small-group, individualized, and hands-on experimental learning.
- Designs lesson plans and instructional materials that promote scientific inquiry, experimentation, data analysis, and critical thinking.
- Instructs students in high school science courses, which may include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, Anatomy & Physiology, or other advanced coursework as assigned.
Encourages scientific reasoning, evidence-based argumentation, and application of scientific concepts to real-world problems. - Integrates laboratory investigations, technology, and instructional tools to enhance student engagement and conceptual understanding.

Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the High School Principal, the High School Science Teacher is responsible for developing students' scientific knowledge, inquiry skills, and analytical reasoning abilities. The teacher delivers rigorous, engaging instruction that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world application of scientific principles while supporting the academic, spiritual, and covenant mission of Providence.
