Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
 

Clinical Teaching Supervisors are assigned to supervise student
teachers, job-embedded teacher candidates, interns, or residents during the
time these students are engaged in their clinical practice and placed in local
schools.

Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Clinical
Practice, Clinical Teaching Supervisors:
·         Part-Time
position that requires flexibility Monday - Friday during school hours
·         Conduct
regular visits and observations, provide feedback, and support the professional
relationship between teacher candidates and their mentors or cooperating
teachers in their placement schools;
·         Report to
the Director of Clinical Practice on candidate progress and development toward
teacher licensure; and
·         Participate
on ongoing professional learning in the field of teacher education.

Minimum Qualifications:
A master's degree or higher;
Seven (7) years of successful teaching experience, or
seven (7) years of combined teaching and school administration experience
which includes supervising instruction;
Valid TN educator license in middle or secondary subject areas
