Records Management Specialist
OCT Consulting is a business management and technology consulting firm that supports Federal Government clients. We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology.
Responsibilities and Duties
OCT currently has an opening for a Records Management Specialist to work with our federal client. The client requires a mid-level Records Management Specialist to support the agency’s information management program at its Washington, DC headquarters. This role manages FOIA and Privacy Act processes, Salesforce CRM administration, SharePoint content management, and records governance across M365 and Salesforce platforms.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Day to day responsibilities include:
- Perform records management activities according to federal government privacy and legal requirements.
- Assist in the development of analyses and reports associated with Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Privacy Act (PA) processes.
- Manage the flow of FOIA and PA correspondence and requests; establish processes to provide prompt responses to requestors in accordance with FOIA policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform technical tasks involved in maintaining the Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Participate in the development of information management policies and governance of supporting applications on Microsoft 365 and Salesforce platforms.
- Manage SharePoint sites content and permissions to ensure proper information governance.
- Create and execute PowerShell scripts to produce reports and perform records management tasks.
- Compile data for reports, transcribe reports, and maintain indexes.
- Ensure that all work products are proofread and free of errors, omissions, and inconsistencies.
