Duties & Responsibilities  





  • The physician practice counselor performs an initial clinical assessment, determines the appropriate level of service for patients or referrals to other appropriate providers/agencies as appropriate and ensures patients receive an appropriate level of care.   





 



Qualifications 





  • Requires a master's degree or higher in a mental health related field; state licensure to include Licensed Independent Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychologist, or licensed RN with psychiatric experience 





 



Preferred Qualifications 





  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a mental health setting with strong mental health assessment skills and crisis management skills.
