The Equipment Programmer is responsible for developing and optimizing programs that control the operation of the equipment, and their key responsibilities are as follows:
* Create drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
* Developing and revising software programs that allows the equipment to operate and perform specific movements for that individual process.
* Program Amada EMK, Amada Pega, the new Amada 6k Fiber Laser, Standard & Niagara Press Brakes, RAS MiniBender, Schechtl & Schroder Folders, and Orion Cobot
* Understanding what is required from our customers and being able to translate that information into a fully executable software program and relatable equipment.
* Responsible for launching new products into production which may include developing new tooling and programming.
* Conduct trial or simulations of those programs on the actual equipment including set up, run times and quality assurance of the part.
* Training Manufacturing Team Members & Supervision on new operator controls or software upgrades and overall operation of equipment.
* Including quality assurance of all custom components meeting customers' requirements.
* Working with outside Suppliers and Technicians to troubleshoot Equipment.
* Maintain inventory for the Amada EMK, Amada Pega, Standard & Niagara Press Brakes, RAS MiniBender, and Schechtl & Schroder Folders.
* Responsible for maintaining electronic folders including programs and details of parts.
* Performs other duties as assigned
