GENERAL SUMMARY:

Production Line Worker This is an hourly position that reports to the Production Supervisor. This position is a 1st shift position.


SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION

  • Packs cases of specific counts of product and palletizes to specific pallet patterns.
  • Feed the line with packaging material
  • Visually inspect product for quality requirements such as code dates, labeling/printing, damage, leakers or any other defect.
  • Perform and register quality checks for fill weights and conformance to spec
  • Perform film roll changes.
  • Notify supervisor of any discrepancies, quality issues or downtime superior as 15 minutes
  • Assure that SOP’s, GMP’s and safety rules are strictly followed
  • Complete production reports (allocation downtime and board updated)
  • Responsible for ERP Transactions (print LPN) or labels pallet with specific documents in case of system down
  • Fill the startup check list
  • Housekeeping
  • Able to start and stop machine
  • Other activity requested by supervisor (rework for example)
  • Help with sanitation
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Requirements

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE


REQUIRED:

  • Read, write, speak Basic English
  • Must be able to perform repetitive lifting up to 50 Lbs.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to collaborate and communicate with others team member (material handler/operator) and work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be able work independently with minimum supervision while prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines
  • Detail oriented work habits


DESIRED:

  • Knowledge of general manufacturing environment and practices.
  • Knowledge of Food Plant GMP’s and SOP’s.
  • Food industry a plus
