Job Description

Type of position: Regular

Your future role on our team

 The BBA team is looking for technicians to conduct field
surveys, enter data and write reports. The Environment department works on a
wide range of mandates to develop and deliver projects in the industrial sector
(energy, mining and linear projects) as well as in the commercial and private
sectors. These mandates include biophysical characterization, impact and social
acceptability studies and preparing permit and authorization applications.

BBA’s Environment team has grown significantly after
acquiring Synergis, and the Natural Environment department now includes nearly
130 professionals. As a biologist, you’ll perform various tasks
within a multidisciplinary team and coordinate your work with project leaders
and managers to deliver mandates.

Summary of certifications and job
requirements

  • Technical training in an environmental field (bioecology, wildlife or natural environments)
  • Two years of experience in aquatic wildlife
  • Experience in field surveys (budgeting, scheduling, planning and work execution)
  • Strong writing skills
  • Knowledge of the MS Office Suite and ArcGIS software
  • Available to perform field campaigns lasting 10 to 14 days several times during the season
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English-speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
  • Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
  • Asset: knowledge of botany and wetlands
  • Asset: ASP Construction training
