Job Summary:

Manchester Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Cook to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. As a Dietary Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and cooking a wide variety of foods for our residents, employees, and visitors. If you have experience in commercial/volume food preparation and are passionate about providing exceptional service, we encourage you to apply for this full-time opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a wide variety of foods according to menus and recipes

  • Plan cooking schedules to meet mealtime schedules

  • Perform related duties and cleaning duties as assigned

  • Direct other Food and Nutrition Services employees in the absence of the Food Service Director and Assistant Food Service Director/Chef Manager

  • Maintain a clean and safe food preparation environment

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Experience in commercial/volume food preparation required

  • Serve-Safe Certification required

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the spoken English language

  • Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy

  • Ability to positively interact with residents/patients

Work Schedule:

  • Thursday and Friday: 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

  • Saturday and Sunday: 1:00 PM – 6:30 PM

Occupational Exposure: Category I

Department: Nutritional Services

Reports to: Dietary Supervisor

FLSA: Non-Exempt
