Job Summary:

The Executive Assistant position reports to the Chief Diversity Officer and provides high-level support for collegewide diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives. The role serves as the primary point of contact for the CDO and as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders on the CDO's behalf.


Responsibilities include managing divisional operations, coordinating meetings and communications, overseeing student staff workflow, supporting programming, and supporting hiring and strategic budget management. The position requires strong judgment, discretion, organization, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, responding to sensitive situations with professionalism and urgency, while handling confidential matters with integrity.


As a frontline ambassador for the Office of Empowerment, this role cultivates an inclusive environment, builds collaborative relationships across the college, and supports institutional goals.


Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.


Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.






Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from regionally accredited college or university OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated progressively responsible administrative or executive support experience.

Demonstrated experience using a wide array of technology for office administration.

Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated progressive leadership and/or administrative responsibilities.

Demonstrated knowledge of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging concepts and issues.






Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in educational institutions.

Knowledge and experience with Banner (student and employee), D2L, and Argos.

Knowledge of current guidelines for accessibility of instructional and non-instructional materials
