- NATA BOC Certification;
- Pro-Rescuer CPR/AED/First Aid certifications, Instructor Certification Preferred; and
- Connecticut State License or eligible.
- Provide emergency medical coverage for daily practices, home and away football games, and all sports home games;
- Evaluation, assessment, and prevention of injury/illness to student athlete;
- Proper referral to physicians regarding injury/illness;
- Maintain medical/administrative records for student athlete;
- Proper documentation and communication of athletic injuries;
- Provide rehabilitation for student athletes;
- Counseling/advising student athletes/coaches regarding injury/illness/health conditions;
- Weekends, nights, and some travel may be required;
- Performs additional duties as assigned; and
- The Assistant Athletic Trainer will work closely with the head athletic trainer, school physicians, school nurses, administration, coaches, and athletic director.
