Job Description: Finance Manager – India

Location: Bangalore/Chennai (Hybrid)
Reports To: Global Finance Head / CEO
Experience: 7–12 years
Employment Type: Full-time


About the Role


Atlas Systems is seeking a highly qualified Finance Manager – India to manage all financial operations for our India entity. This includes bookkeeping, statutory compliance, payroll, and coordination with global finance teams. The ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong technical expertise, excellent credentials, and hands-on experience using QuickBooks and Zoho for financial management.

Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation).
  • Maintain accurate and timely books of accounts in line with Indian GAAP.
  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
  • Ensure high-quality records in QuickBooks and Zoho Books, including integration with other systems.
  • Coordinate with US finance team for consolidation and reporting.

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with India statutory and regulatory requirements:
  • GST filings, returns, and reconciliations
  • TDS calculations and quarterly returns
  • PF/ESI statutory contributions
  • Professional Tax
  • Shops & Establishments compliance
  • MCA filings in coordination with the company secretary
  • Work closely with auditors, tax advisors, and statutory bodies.

3. Payroll Management

  • Process monthly payroll using Zoho/other payroll systems.
  • Manage statutory deductions, reimbursements, variable pay, and F&F settlements.
  • Maintain accurate employee compensation records.
  • Support HR with compensation alignment and payroll-related queries.

4. Financial Planning & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly MIS, P&L, balance sheet schedules, and cash flow reports.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor expenses and ensure financial discipline.

5. Vendor & Banking Coordination

  • Oversee vendor invoice processing, payment cycles, and vendor reconciliations.
  • Manage banking operations and maintain strong banking relationships.
  • Ensure proper documentation and controls.

6. Internal Controls & Process Improvements

  • Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls.
  • Streamline finance processes, SOPs, and audit readiness.
  • Recommend automation and efficiency improvements.


Qualifications & Skills


Required

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong academic and professional credentials.
  • 7–12 years of experience in finance, accounting, and compliance roles.
  • Hands-on experience working with QuickBooks and Zoho Books.
  • Deep knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, PT, and corporate tax requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, MIS, and advanced Excel.
  • Strong integrity, attention to detail, and ability to operate independently.

Preferred

  • Experience in IT/technology or consulting organizations.
  • Exposure to working with US-based parent companies or US GAAP.
  • Experience managing multi-entity or multi-country finance operations.
