About this Position

  • Henkel AME business have a global reach, are intended to fill a need for a market
    opportunity, require communication within AME world wide and
    are handled in cross functional teams. The Scientific Associate is the leader on product development and
    verification type of activities during program course. Innovative materials,
    especially those new to the market and/or new to Henkel, are resulting from
    these projects and are expected to deliver new product sales to drive organic
    growth of Henkel business. 
  • The Scientific Associate is responsible to contribute to key KPI for New Product Innovation
    (NPI) and target number of AME global business. 

What you´ll do


  • Conduct research and develop new product formulas based on customer, market requirements and trends.
  • New research, IP, publications, technology roadmap.
  • Closely work with key customers, understand customer needs and industrials  trends, provide innovative solutions.
  • To work with key suppliers to develop innovative technology for high impact solutions.
  • lab 5S and Safety work.       

What makes you a good fit

  • PhD or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science,
    Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant disciplines is
    preferred.
  • PhD >3 years of experience,
    Master>5 years in adhesive R&D, with a strong background in formula
    development and application.  
  • Proven track record of on-time
    product development delivery from idea generation to completion is required.
  • Strong teamwork skills with excellent
    interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate with others and
    independently on multi-task assignments.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously and
    problem-solving skills.
