Career Opportunities: Product and Quality Assurance Engineer (1035)
We are looking for a Product and Quality Assurance Engineer to oversee document delivery compliance for Galileo customers, support anomaly and problem management across key review boards, contribute to maintenance activities for ground and space segments, and drive quality through audits, reporting, and continuous process improvement.
The position will include tasks such as:
- Product Assurance (PA) control of document deliveries to Galileo customers.
- Support problem management activities (participation in ARB, CCB, ORB, MRAB, coordination meetings)
- Support Ground and Space Segment maintenance activities.
- Participate in reviews (pre-shipment reviews, QSPRs) and audits (internal & external).
- Prepare reports, assessments, and statistics (anomalies, tickets).
- Contribute to process definition and improvement.
Skills Required
- Strong QA / PA / Quality Management knowledge.
- Knowledge of ECSS standards (mandatory in space domain).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001.
- Experience with documentation and process management.
- Experience with anomaly/ticket tracking systems.
- Advanced English.
- Structured and analytical way of working.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in coordination-heavy environments.
- Proactive and reliable.
Desired Skills
- Programming skills, such as Python.
- Experience with AI / Machine Learning tools.
- Knowledge of Galileo systems.
- German language skills.
Key Qualifications (Education, Capabilities)
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in: Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications or similar technical field.
- 5–10+ years in Quality Assurance / Product Assurance / Quality Management.
- Experience in complex systems (space, ground segment, or similar environments)
- Experience with audits, reviews, and technical boards.
- Experience in maintenance / operations environments.
Work Location
This is a full-time position in Oberpfaffenhofen, Munich area, Germany, with the planned start date ASAP.
No regular on-call required
