The ideal candidate is passionate about AI development, has basic coding skills (including low/no-code tools), and excels in creative problem-solving. This internship provides valuable insights into electrical subcontracting and opportunities to contribute to real-world projects, such as building custom chatbots, standard operating procedures (SOPs), project tracker tools in Excel, and optimizing SharePoint environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on knowledge management initiatives, including project documentation practices and preplanning to ensure seamless information flow across teams.

  • Assist in creating and refining SOPs to support construction project workflows, reporting, and document control practices.

  • Gain exposure to multiple business systems, including Paycom (HRIS for human resources management), Rivet (workforce planning and scheduling), Autodesk (cloud-based document control and forms) and accounting systems.

  • Participate in software rollout initiatives, including the development of training materials to support user adoption, effective implementation, and seamless integration across business functions.

  • Work with Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot Studio to build out custom chatbots, automate processes, and improve forms and functionality.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, finance, IT) to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and productivity.

  • Utilize Excel for data analysis, reporting, process optimization tasks, and creating project tracker tools to monitor tasks, timelines, resources, and progress.

  • Contribute to SharePoint development, including site improvements for enhanced document control, version tracking, and collaboration in construction projects.

  • Integrate AI features into SharePoint, such as intelligent search, automated workflows, and Copilot-assisted content management to streamline document handling and boost productivity.

  • Performs other duties as needed to support projects, operations, and the department.
