Worldwide Aircraft Services, Inc., located in Springfield, MO is an FAA/EASA Certified Part 145 Repair Station seeking an experienced full-time Inventory Control Generalist. This position under the direction of the Inventory Control Manager, assists in the daily operations of the stock room, purchasing, shipping, receiving, and parts distribution. Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Daily coordination with the Inventory Control Manager on priorities for parts needing to be ordered and placed in process for timely purchase.
  • Assist in purchasing, returning, inventory control, and overseeing paperwork for the parts department.
  • Communicate with the Shop Manager or his delegate on the status of parts for active Work Orders.
  • Attend customer meetings as directed.
  • Quote customers and follow-up quote/sales opportunities, providing high-quality customer service and response time.
  • Negotiate with suppliers.
  • Verify correct procedures are being followed in the parts processing.
  • Develop Reporting as directed.
  • Assist in the implementation and usage of Worldwide's Bar Code System.
  • Identifying, controlling, segregating, and maintaining all stock and tools to a serviceable or unserviceable category as designated by the Chief Inspector
  • Assist company accounts receivable/payables departments in resolving invoicing issues associated with the Repair Station.
  • Provide backup for personnel by fulfilling their functions.
  • Identification, proper tagging, and segregation of any material or part that does not meet the standards outlined in the Repair Station Manual.
  • Aids with shipping/receiving of parts and materials into the facility, paperwork, and systems input of parts.
  • Assists with physical inventories.
  • Assists and implements objectives, policies, and procedures as provided by the Managers to support interrelated company functions and requirements of the Parts Department.
  • Performs any function as may be delegated by the supervisor or management to assist in the function of the department.
  • Keep the work area, workspace, and adjacent areas clean and tidy at all times.
  • Keep parts room locked and secured at all times.
  • Daily attendance and the ability to pass a background check is an essential part of the position.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND TRAINING

Bachelor's degree preferred. Able to read, write, and use mathematics. Microsoft Office proficient, Must have good communication skills to effectively interact with customers and staff, with the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with others. Maintain conformity with work rules, regulations, and safety procedures. Must become familiar with the use of the ILS (Inventory Locator Services), Good problem-solving ability with the ability to use initiative and common sense.
