SPA's SLA Analysis Group provides objective analyses, plans, and strategies to clients across the US Navy (air, surface, undersea), US Marine Corps, US Air Force, Australian Defence, and DARPA clients to support acquisition, delivery, and sustainment decisions. Embedded within the group lies the core SPA thought leadership on Undersea Strategy, Software Development, and Cost Estimating with additional benchmark capabilities in AI/ML & Decision Analytics, Modeling and Simulation, and Future Force Assessments. The group leverages a range of advanced analytic capabilities including modeling, simulation, and wargame development while maintaining a highly experienced bench of Military Operations and technical analysts.

 

SPA has a near-term need for a highly experienced international treaties and agreements subject matter expert to support our customer in Arlington, VA.


Responsibilities

The Treaties Expert will provide guidance and recommendations to the Government team on Air Force requirements derived from specific treaties and agreements. Work entails monitoring Air Force activities for treat implementation and guidance, providing background information and/or implementation issues in anticipation and response to Government queries, researching and presenting recommendations to mid- and senior-level leaders, and coordinating with geographically-separated treaty compliance officers.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Recent experience and expertise with arms control and disarmament treaties
  • Recent experience and demonstrated expertise in implementation and compliance activities across multiple organizations
  • Recent experience coordinating with DAF, Joint Staff, and OSD organizations regarding treaty issues
  • Recent experience and expertise with DTRA or Service-specific treaty databases or similar applications
  • Bachelors’ degree and 10 years’ experience with treaty requirements and implementation
  • Secret clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment

Desired Qualifications

  • 15 years’ experience with Air Force or Navy strategic deterrence policies and programs
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Prior weapon system qualification within strategic deterrence systems
