The Senior Corporate Accountant is a key member of the Corporate Accounting team, responsible for overseeing key areas of the company’s global accounting operations and supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. This role manages complex balance sheet accounts including intercompany transactions, debt, goodwill and intangible assets, and oversees treasury-related activities, while reviewing staff accountant work related to cash accounting, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses. The Senior Corporate Accountant ensures transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies, performs detailed account analysis and variance reviews, and collaborates with cross-functional teams including Treasury, FP&A, and regional finance teams. The role also supports external audit activities and helps maintain a strong internal control environment in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Success in this position requires proficiency with Excel, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders in a fast‑paced public company environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Perform balance sheet and income statement flux analysis and investigate significant variances
- Review staff accountant work related to cash, fixed assets, and prepaid expenses
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members
- Ensure intercompany balances reconcile and discrepancies are resolved with regional teams
- Support transfer pricing and intercompany policy compliance
- Support monthly accounting for certain sites/entities
- Record and reconcile debt transactions including borrowings, repayments, and interest
- Maintain accounting for goodwill and intangible assets
- Support implementation of close management and account reconciliation tool(s)
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in the close process
- Partner with the Treasury function to monitor global cash activity and assist with implementation of treasury-related systems or process improvements
- Execute and document key controls in compliance with SOX requirements and support external audits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- 4+ years of public accounting and/or public corporate accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Willingness to learn quickly and take ownership
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Ability to multitask and meet assigned deadlines
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA and close management tools a plus
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies

The estimated base salary range for this role, based in the United States of America is $85,000- $115,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to an individual's qualifications, location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, employees are eligible to participate in one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
