Our Fremont, CA site is a leading hub for medical device innovation and manufacturing, specializing in catheter-based technologies. With advanced clean room operations, the facility supports end-to-end production from development through high-volume manufacturing in a regulated environment.

 

About the role:

In this role, you’ll perform in-process and final visual inspections to ensure our parts meet quality standards. You’ll work directly on the production floor—collecting samples, completing visual checks, and documenting results. It’s a detail-focused, high-responsibility position that calls for strong judgment, consistency, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. You’ll also use and learn specialized quality inspection tools and equipment to support accurate, reliable inspections. 

 

Shift: Monday – Friday 1st Shift 6:45AM – 3:15PM

Compensation: Potential salary range for this role is $23.00-$27.00 per hour.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Collects samples at scheduled intervals from each machine
  • Perform the necessary visual Quality/SPC testing procedures on samples (in-process, incoming, and final inspections)
  • Utilize tools, gauges and other inspection equipment to obtain product specification data
  • Accurately record information consistent with the department format.
  • Perform basic ERP transactions
  • Communicate with Machine Technicians, Operators and Production Supervisors to run a consistent quality product.
  • Follow all departmental procedures with respect to routine daily assignments. All workstation areas will be maintained in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Read and follow Quality Work Instructions
  • Inspect and document in-bound raw materials for conformance.
  • Place non-conforming product on hold and create non-conforming records
  • Write basic NCRs and place products on hold
  • Conduct quality inspection on rework product
  • Participating in validation projects as needed
  • Participating in Gage R&R and validation projects
  • Manage retains of production and validation projects
  • Update Quality Inspection requirements
  • Update procedures with simple changes
  • Create Job Packets and manage device history records
  • Perform DHR reviews
  • Support MRB investigations
  • Participating in Material Review Board activities

 

Requirements:

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in similar roles
  • Basic math and reading comprehension
  • Basic computer skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel and database programs
  • Ability to read and assess drawings
  • Ability to correctly select and use sampling plans
  • Demonstrate understanding of basic Quality regulations
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Experience with ANSI Sampling Plans
