Job Description

SUMMARY: The Senior Product Line Customer Specialist is responsible for assessing the commercial performance of assigned Aftermarket Product Lines while managing customer relationships and executing sales strategies. This role combines internal product line management responsibilities with sales oversight and execution, including forecasting, KPI ownership, and cross-functional coordination. This position drives revenue growth, margin performance, and customer satisfaction through both strategic product line oversight and associated sales activities.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



Product Line Specialist




  • Own Aftermarket commercial performance of assigned product lines, including revenue and margin.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned product lines, including features, applications, and competitive positioning.

  • Manage product lifecycle activities and pricing actions, including product launches, updates, phase-outs, kitting, and critical part allocations to all market customers.

  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering, and operations to ensure product alignment with market needs.

  • Develop and maintain product documentation, pricing structures, and training materials.

  • Support product training for internal teams and customers.

  • Function as the key liaison between all internal stakeholders and market customers.

  • Develop regular forecasts for assigned Product Lines and oversee execution of plans to achieve revenue and profit targets.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), customer feedback, sales data, analyze trends, and recommend / implement strategic actions aligned with company objectives.

  • Communicate performance, metrics, and strategy to stakeholders and publish monthly KPI reporting.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to specifically reduce aging inventory in accordance with company policies.

  • Assist in forecast demand and coordinate cross-functionally with Business Analytics and Supply Chain teams to ensure parts availability for Aftermarket customers.



Customer Support of Assigned Product Lines




  • Support the inside sales team with product-related inquiries and technical guidance.

  • Prepare quotes, proposals, and product configurations.

  • Follow up on customer requests and provide timely responses.

  • Maintain CRM data related to product opportunities and customer interactions.

  • Review and process key account orders, support all related product line order processing to ensure accuracy of product specifications.

  • Responsible for customer experience and associated Sales KPIs.



 



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  




  • Bachelor’s degree


    • OR an additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.



  • 5+ years of relevant/technical work experience.

  • Excellent time management skills with ability to organize and manage multiple and competing priorities.

  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.

  • Proficient using various software, applications, and programs, including Microsoft Office program (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.)

  • Reputable communicator through oral and written skills with customers, peers, and management.

  • Ability to work independently or with others in a collaborative team environment.

  • Ability to build effective working relationships with co-workers and customers.

  • Ability to read and write at a proficient level.



PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:




  • Master’s degree

  • 7+ years of experience in the sales, customer service, and/or aviation industry.

  • Quantum Control ERP experience or related aviation information system experience.

  • Experience with U.S. Export Rules and regulations.

  • Technical knowledge of aircraft components preferably touching on MROs, aviation distribution, or similar environments.

  • PowerBI experience.
