POSITION TITLE: Assistant Professor of Finance

 

HOURS / WEEK: 35

 

JOB SITE LOCATION: 1855 Broadway, New York, NY 10023

     

New York Institute of Technology seeks an Assistant Professor of Finance at its New York, New York campus. This position will require up to 50% domestic travel, as needed, between NYIT's Manhattan and Long Island campuses. This position requires faculty to teach in-person at our New York City and Long Island Campuses, along with online teaching. In-person Weekday evenings and weekend teaching schedules are likely. Teaching: Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Finance, with a focus on Financial Economics topics such as corporate finance and investment decisions, as well as current and cutting-edge FinTech & Financial Data Analytics topics. Employ innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning and engagement. Ability to integrate Bloomberg research and data feed into course curriculum is required. Research: Conduct high-quality, impactful research in Finance, preferably in the areas of Financial Economics, FinTech & Financial Data Analytics leading to publications in high quality academic journals. Foster interdisciplinary research opportunities and collaborations within the University and with external partners. Curriculum Development: Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the finance curriculum to incorporate emerging trends and technologies in Financial. Expansion and inclusion of emerging FinTech topics and innovations into the UG and Graduate curriculum is expected.

Ph.D. (or foreign academic equivalent) in Finance or a related field and One (1) year of experience of University teaching experience. Experience must include: Experience with Statistical Analytics tools such as Stata and MATLAB; experience with programming languages such as Python, R, SQL.

 

OTHER: This position will require up to 50% domestic travel, as needed, between NYIT's Manhattan and Long Island campuses.

 

RATE OF PAY: $113,710-$159,348.44 / year
